Membership Application /Renewal
1. Exam Fee and membership for one year for a Member School $150.00; Certified Caregiver/Personal Support Worker (annual renewal) $75.00 Exam Fee and membership for one year for a Non-Member School is $200.00; CPSW Student annual renewal fee is $75.00 2. Retired CPSW (annual renewal) $25.00 3. Non CPSW Member Associate wanting to train staff, employees, at nursing homes, hospitals and retirement homes; Membership fee: $100.00; Course and Exam Purchase $1,500.00 plus $500 yearly renew fee; Agencies and educators already in the delivery of PSW costs are reduced to $1,000.00 a year and yearly renewal fees for tests, exams etc. $500.00 4. Honourary - no fee payable 5. Bridging to CPSW through the National Association of Certified Caregivers/Personal Support Workers for HCA, Home Maker Level 1, 2, Exam $999.00 course fee plus Exam and Book Fees $500.00. 6. Challenge Exam Fee may be paid as a non-member $200.00 plus Skills Passbook completed to attest to skills. Cost $25.00 for passbook, student to recruit his or her own nurse or pre-approved commissioner. Exam fee non-refundable and non-transferable. Passing grade is combined skill and academic of 70%. 7. Alternatively, if no passing grade is achieved the student must bridge prior to a rewrite. 8. Suggested option prior to writing National Exam: Purchase books inclusive of Skills Passbook, Bridge with Independent Study and when prepared pay fee and write the exam. Study materials and Skills Passbook are available for $350 plus GST. Exam fee as stated above. 9. Students without pins prior to 2002 or lost pins and registration may contact NACPSW for a $35.00 replacement fee.
This training is available internationally, nationally and throughout the province of Ontario. NACPSW will offer for fee for service Prior Learning Assessment and Reviews. Please call the office and inquire on costs for this service. Our goal is for you to have employment with the best credentials and certification for Front Line Health Care Work. |
